Why do we need to raise money?
Our tandems cover many miles all year in every weather, so they need to be maintained to a very high standard. This reduces the wear and tear but parts still need replacing. Every tandem is checked and routine maintenance done at ‘fettling’ sessions. However, they sometimes need a major rebuild and we also purchase new tandems as the group expands. We are fortunate in having an experienced bike maintenance team who can do this ‘in house’.
